MOMENTUM
DESIGNED IN LONDON
HANDMADE IN ITALY
The pieces in this collection show evidently a particular kind of fixing and technical details that assist with accepting the capability of such extreme forms to create synergy with the body.
Every detail of every design has been carefully thought of to portray a coherent image of the underlaying theme of the collection. This is pivotal to shape the identity of my wearable sculptures - their intention cannot be not misunderstood.
My collection Momentum takes a stance when worn. It transmits ingenious innovation and timeless elegance - qualities that many of us aspire to own.
THE COLLECTION GROUNDS ITS FOUNDATIONS IN ARCHITECTURE.
I HAVE QUESTIONED HOW THE DESIGN OF BUILDINGS CAN FUNCTION HARMONIOUSLY WITH THE BODY.
A building is constructed with the purpose of human interaction, with both an aesthetic and functional role.
Inspired by the communication between people and space, this collection sets out to show how adorning the body with wearable sculptures, an piece of jewellery that stands out from the body, is still able to become an extension of it.
My main source of inspiration is the work of Spanish architect, Santiago Calatrava. I find that his exaggerated structures, inspired by nature and man, are sculptures: spaces upon which he thrives for human interaction.
Through the repetition of simple forms, Calatrava, not only challenges space, gravity but deliberately creates a contrast between the buildings and the surroundings to make them stand out.
I am reinterpreting and understanding how he has explored the idea of movement in his projects. By creating waves and patterns, using rods he succeeds in creating optical illusions of movement.
Committing to a single form, my intent is to work with a specific shape, a square rod.
By creating a repetition of organic forms, I can achieve complex and intricate structures that embody a

that explores the idea of movement.
By working with a standardized shape, I am able to fully expose and explore the evolution of a form, understanding its complete potential.
The principles of layering, along with the illusion of volume another two elements that my practice interrogates, strongly influenced by the works of Zaha Hidid and RDAI.
Playing on the concept of space through rotation and spiral movements, I find volume, and discover how a piece of jewellery can create synergy with the body.
My aim as designer is to create a collection that not only engages with the body, but also maintains an effortless and light appearance, regardless of the amount attributed details. Preserving the wearability of my creations is fundamental.
To maintain a strong emphasis on architecture, my collection is crafted with metals and precious stones. The colour scheme for the metals will be (1) silver and gold: the silver has a more minimalistic presence, which highlights the structure and transmits the feeling of
SIMPLICITY
The (2) gold shows luscious and more feminine side of the collection. The (3) gems are utilised to stress the volume of the geometry, they add an element of preciousness. To reflect my theme I choose to concentrate only on sapphires and cubic zirconia, giving myself a defined colour scheme that reflects my research on buildings and cities.
